About Me
My name is Laura Gaymer and I am a registered psychologist and registered arts therapist. For the last decade, I have been working with individuals of all ages, groups and families experiencing various challenges in private practice, Non-Government Organisations and NSW Health in the Shoalhaven and Wollongong Regions.

I grew up in Germany and after meeting my Australian husband-to-be and marrying, we moved to the South Coast of Australia where I studied counselling, psychology and then arts therapy. Following the birth of our daughter, we relocated to the Bega Valley where I established my private practice in 2022.

My vision is to create a safe space for individuals to discover themselves and find transformational pathways so that they can live a fulfilled, authentic and empowered life. My approach is integrative and experiential, drawing from psychology, body-based therapies, interpersonal neuro-biology, the creative arts therapies and trauma and attachment research and is tailored to the needs of each individual or group.

When I am not in my therapy office, I enjoy cultivating a deeper connection to the Earth with the cycles of the seasons and weaving these and other strands into the tapestry of daily life. Family relationships, local community, raising my daughter and learning about homesteading brings me joy as I seek to live and walk lightly on the land.
